These are 3 great Netflix shows to watch with your wife. You will both love them.
Most nights my wife and I find ourselves in front of the TV with our beverage of choice and a decision. That decision is what to watch and most Americans, that is 46.5 million, of us are watching Netflix. The next closest is Hulu at just over 26 million.
My wife and I have done our best to perfect the craft of balancing our preferences, so that it is not a chore/discussion/heated debate …, to find that great show.
I have gathered three of the best below and hope you get a chance to watch.
Bourbon Goes With: Netflix shows to watch with your Wife
No longer just mountanous terrain, filled with water in Missouri, but a one of the best shows on Netflix. Marty is a relatable husband and father of two kids living in the Chicago area. Sounds familiar to me, I once fit that description. Then work sent me Southeast, but Marty’s job sent him in another direction, mostly Southwest, to Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri.
Marty and his wife made some questionable decisions that landed them great paying partnerships with a Mexican Drug Cartel and the Kansas City Mob. That slippery slope that takes us from boring yet fulfilling lives in the suburbs to bars, strip clubs, drugs, the occasional intentional death and then even too, gasp!!, say it isn’t so, … politics (the shame).
2. Breaking Bad
Like the Ozarks, life starts out normal enough. Walter White has a wife and two kids, but then bad things happen, questionable decisions are made and you got an incredible story. One of the greatest TV shows ever, chronicling a mans need to care for his family that twists slowly into a decent from which there is no turning back.
3. Schitt’s Creek
After watching an episode of Ozarks or Breaking Bad, a short yet hilarious comedy is called for and Schitt’s Creek is just the show. Johnny, also with a wife and two kids, descends from great wealth and life in the big city to a small town living in a local motel. The plot is interesting, but the writers and cast created a completely unexpected, one of a kind comedy you should find time to watch.
Some storylines transcend the short description and must be watched to appreciate. That is where these three and most great shows fall. Bourbon calls for a gritty story and a laugh. The above gives you both, but you still have to provide the bourbon.
